Reliable Enterprises employees will promote high standards of practice and uphold the values, ethics, knowledge, and mission statement of Reliable Enterprises. Employees should contribute time and professional expertise to activities that promote and improve the lives of the developmentally disabled, children, and other vulnerable members of the community.

Responsibilities to Clients

Reliable Enterprises is committed to providing a safe, secure, and healthy service environment for clients by:

  • Producing consumer-driven products and services, delivered in a timely manner, and with expected outcomes;
  • Pursuing self-determination and person centered planning decisions for clients to ensure the best possible outcome for each individual;
  • Honoring the personal rights and individualism of each individual;
  • Making decisions in a person centered environment where each client develops their own personal development plan with staff assistance;
  • Protecting confidential information of clients and establishing personal boundaries for each client to protect themselves;
  • Safeguarding and respecting clients and visitor’s personal property and personal space;
  • Not practicing or tolerating any discrimination based on race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression & identity, age, marital status, veteran status, national origin, disability, or other individual characteristics.

Responsibilities to Reliable Enterprises

Reliable Enterprises employees have a responsibility to protect the agency by:

  • Not permitting their private conduct, personal problems, psychosocial distress, legal problems, substance abuse, or mental health difficulties, to interfere with their professional judgement;
  • Maintaining honest, correct, and timely records, files, reports, and information;
  • Making decisions in a manner that keeps the person centered interest of the client in mind, while ensuring the financial integrity of Reliable Enterprises;
  • Providing an environment that supports honest, respectful, and trusting relationships with supervisors;
  • Acknowledging responsibility and credit, including authorship credit, for the work they have actually performed and to which they contributed;
  • Protecting Reliable Enterprises property from damage, theft, or destruction;
  • Not practicing or tolerating any discrimination based on race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression & identity, age, marital status, veteran status, national origin, disability, or other individual characteristics;
  • Following internal controls and notifying leadership of any current or potential waste, fraud, and abuse of Reliable Enterprises funds, equipment, or materials.

Reliable Enterprises employees have a responsibility to be kind and respectful to each other by:

  • Providing a safe and healthy environment, opportunity for career growth, and respecting the dignity due to everyone;
  • Encouraging the free expression of concerns within the boundaries of professionalism, common courtesy, and respect;
  • Not practicing or tolerating any discrimination based on race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression & identity, age, marital status, veteran status, national origin, disability, or other individual characteristics;
  • Work to ensure an environment that is free from harassment, coercion, illegal, or unethical behavior and bringing attention to management of those activities when noticed;
  • Follow Reliable Enterprises policy manual and employee handbook;
  • Use appropriate dispute and appeal procedures reflected in Grievance Policy Section 500.6;
  • Respect the personal property and personal space of all coworkers.

Responsibilities to the Community

Reliable Enterprises is committed to acting as concerned and responsible neighbors as we seek ways to better the community by:

  • Conducting our business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • Not participating in, condoning, or be associated with dishonesty, fraud, or deception to the community;
  • Promoting the general welfare of society and supporting the growth of vulnerable or disabled individuals in the community in a person centered environment;
  • Working with other partners and organizations to holistically address community needs.
  • Developing people, their communities, and their environments through service and volunteerism;
  • Ensuring marketing communications to the community about Reliable Enterprises is not intentionally deceptive or misleading and promotes the lives of vulnerable individuals in the community;
  • Encouraging only positive social media postings and respecting the privacy of individuals by acquiring permission and authorization prior to posting pictures, information, or advertisements with clients or agency material involved;

Responsibilities to the Funders & Grantees

Reliable Enterprises is committed to pursuing and maintaining financial stability, sound growth, and to exercising prudence in the use of grantee assets and resources by:

  • Maintaining transparency and accountability through the use of grant funds;
  • Maintaining good stewardship of governmental and private funds and expenditures only on the intended purpose of the funds;
  • Implementing an internal compliance and ethics program that encourages the recognition and reporting of fraud, waste, or abuse;
  • Establishing an adequate and effective system of accounting, internal controls, records control, and records retention;
  • Ensuring policies and procedures for financial transactions are documented in a manual, and the manual is reviewed annually, and updated as necessary;
  • Upholding A-133 standard for not-for-profit audits including annual comprehensive agency audits;
  • Not accepting any personal donation or solicitation of funds, materials, or favors for Reliable Enterprises between individuals or organizations counter to our mission, that are direct competitors, or who is seeking to do business with Reliable Enterprises;
